new camera?

If anyone has any opinions on digital cameras, I'd like to know. We are currently in the market for a new digital camera. Alex got a hold of ours the other day, turned it on and when Dave saw him, he started to run. He fell on the camera and now the lens won't come out of the camera. It tries to turn on but can't because the lens won't come out. Sorry, I won't be posting any pictures until we get a new camera.
