Liz decided to enter the spelling bee this year. I was proud of her for being able to go up in front of the whole school and still be able to spell. She got out on the word "postpartum". She spelled it "postpardon".
She was a bit upset over it. She said that she pronounced it postpardon but the guy didn't catch it. Postpardon isn't a word, but she wouldn't really know that. Most of the words they ask you to spell don't sound like real words.
