Mr. Independent

Alex insists on doing most everything on his own these days. Here he is putting on his socks. It takes a bit to get them straight, but as long as we are not in a hurry, I encourage him to practice. He can also put on his pants, shirt and shoes. He still needs to have help with the diaper, but will come up to us a couple times a day and say he needs to go potty. We sit him down and he goes! If we could get him to tell us every time he needs to go, we could get him potty trained. Right now it is so inconsistent and he is still too young (28 1/2 mo.). Dave says that he can buckle himself into his carseat too, but I have had yet to let him try. Usually we are in too much of a hurry to drive away.

CONGRATS! I tried calling you at the hospital but they said that you had just been discharged!!! Of all the rotten luck. Then everytime I've had time to call its like 6 am your time, and that would just be mean! Is there a perfect time to call you? xoxo
