Giving up

After two weeks of trying to potty train Alex, 26-months-old, we have decided to give up. While he loves sitting on the potty and getting jelly beans, we think he may be a little young. I'll try again in 4 months or so. So far we haven't had another recurrance of that little problem I blogged about earlier. Our tactics have changed to having him wear onesies so that he doesn't have access to his diaper and changing him as soon as someone smells something off. Because we tried potty training, he'll now come up to me and tell me when he needs a change. "Mommy, I poop." We are encouraging this new behavior.
