This is Dave's costume this year. He is Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden. If you are familiar with the books, the Dresden Files, or the short lived TV series, you'd be familiar with this character. I think that he looks very much like a gamer. One of those unkempt, shabby men that hang out and play Warhammer. He fits right in.

Here are my superheros. I'm not sure that Alex even knows who Superman is, but this is the costume that would fit this year and since money is tight, I refused to buy any new costumes this year.

Here are the pumpkins we carved this year. Liz designed the cat and told Dave where to cut. John said that he wanted a spider for Spiderman. Alex used a hammer and pounded the pegs into his pumpkin. The pegs are like lite brite golf tees that pick up the light from inside the pumpkin.

This is Lizzie Longstocking. This is the second year in a row that she decided to dress up like a literary character (like Dad, coinsidence?). Last year she was Nancy Drew. She helped design her costume with odds and ends that she already had. We did buy red hair spray and striped tights, though.
